What is Swedish Massage?
Swedish massage is the classic or typical western style massage. The techniques used are designed to improve your circulation, soothe your muscles and make you more relaxed.
Swedish massage uses softer strokes on the bonier and more delicate parts of the body, and stronger strokes where there is thicker muscle coverage. At Embody our Massage therapists have years of experience and can tailor their Swedish massage to suit you. It is important to let your therapists know if you have any delicate or sensitive areas so that they can adjust the pressure they use accordingly thereby ensuring the massage is always soothing and relaxing.

What To Expect from a Swedish Massage
You can book a Swedish massage from 30 minutes up to 120 minutes; the most popular being 60 minutes. After the therapist has given you a brief consultation you will be given time to undress privately and lie down on the massage table, where you may cover yourself with towels. All of our rooms are private, warm and relaxing so you should always feel comfortable.
Our therapists often play relaxing music during a Swedish massage, as it can help you to unwind. It is quite common for people to fall asleep as the magical spell of soft music and tension easing massage takes effect. You can literally feel the stress and tension being released from your muscles.
You don’t even have to worry about talking, our therapists understand that you are here to relax and spend some well deserved quality time on yourself. All you have to do lie on the comfortable massage table and enjoy your massage.
