Osteopathic treatment looks at maintaining and optimising the structure and function of the body. It embraces the principle that our well-being or wellness is accredited to the harmonious function of skeleton, muscles, ligaments and connective tissue.
Osteopaths use various techniques to achieve this balance. Articulation of joints, manipulation, stretching and massage are some of the modalities frequently used. Advice on posture and exercise may also be given to aid rehabilitation and wellness as well as a preventative measure for recurring injury.
Conditions commonly treated are;
Back pain, neck pain, shoulder pain, knee pain, sciatica, Hip pain, ankle and foot pain, sports injuries, arthritis symptoms, sprain, strains.
Osteopaths treat people of all ages and backgrounds.
